Tiverton Fly Fishing Association Rules
- Fly fishing only - Bait and spinning are prohibited.
- All persons fishing the Association's waters must hold a valid EA rod licence.
- We operate a catch and release policy. All fish must be carefully returned.
- Barbless or de-barbed hooks only.
- Observe the countryside code.
- Salmon fishing (fly only) is ONLY permitted on the association's own water which stretches from Head-weir (just upstream from N Devon link road) to Tiverton Castle ( Field behind Morrison’s) on the left bank only.
- Other than the Association’s own water.
- Priority must be given to Riparian owners fishing for salmon.
- Anglers must not be in possession of salmon fishing equipment.
- Members may fish for Grayling (fly only) during the Trout close season.
- The committee of the Association has the power to expel members breaking the Association rules.
- All persons purchasing a ticket to fish shall be deemed to have read and accepted these rules.
- Membership runs from 1st January each year.
- Membership is strictly for those who reside within a 7 mile radius from the Heathcoat factory gates.
Season Dates:
• Salmon 14th February to 30th September
• Sea trout 15th March to 30th September
• Brown trout 15th March to 30th September
• Grayling 16th June to 14th March
